Captain Dangerous

Hailing from Nottingham, England, Captain Dangerous write wonky-pop music; showing shades of Pavement, Hefner and Blur all glued together with bombastic orchestral arrangements.

With a number of tours over the past couple of years under their belts and most recently accompanied by a 20 piece orchestra, the band have built a reputation as a thrilling live proposition.

Dishevelled, roguish and instantly likeable, this motley five-piece can often be seen jostling for space on stage as the Captain Dangerous line-up swells to accommodate viola, trombone and cello, bringing an orchestral swoon and bombast to the band's winning quirk-pop anthems.

The bands debut album "The Empire Never Ended" was released in 2012 and included the singles "I am the Wind" and "Heather & Tommy". "Everything Beautiful Reminds Me Of You" another highlight from the album has been used extensively across ad-land (including campaigns by Microsoft and ITV) and has featured on television shows both at home and in the USA (Including Fresh Meat & Greys Anatomy)

The band are currently recording their next record which is due mid 2014.
