Venue:  Bartons, High Road, Chilwell, Nottingham
Dates: 9th June, 7th July, 4th August, 1st October, 6th October
Time:  7.30pm-11.30pm

With acoustic music and singer songwriters riding high in the charts, Bartons has announced a season of unplugged nights.
We are looking for the most talented performers, singers and songwriters to join in this fantastic opportunity to be part of Bartons summer of fun sized festivals.

Booked for the first Unplugged night is Jason McNiff a London based Yorkshireman of Irish and Polish descent. He has made four records of what is loosely described as Alt. Country or Americana, yet there is something very British about him. As Time Out attests, “McNiff’s quiet, intimate, fragile-sounding vocals draw you into his world– a melancholy, almost timeless place, through which he drifts, a romantic loner, a dreamer, at home with the blues.” He is often touted as one of the UK's most overlooked musical treasures - a great songwriter and top-notch finger-style guitarist. His new album, April Cruel (Fledg’ling) was released in 2011.

"One of the UK's best kept secrets" - Mojo

"The nearest thing out there to Bob Dylan and the Band" -
Sean Rowley BBC Radio London

With Miss 600, Seven Little Sisters, THePETEBOX and Chris McDonald all performing at Bartons later on this year, the Gallery at Bartons is becoming a hub of local talent.
Organiser Carly Collingwood said “last year Bartons was a venue for the Oxjam festival and it was such a great success that we will be back later in the year and the Unplugged sessions will be extension to allow many more artists to take part.”
